Instant Replay: We've talked in the past about emailing and
attaching things, but there's another way we haven't talked
about. It's hidng right in front of us all the time, get a
load of this. Let's say you're in TextEdit working on your
masterpiece. Now, you want to send attached to an email. Of
course, you have to save it before you send it so it isn't
"untitled". Let's call it A Name. The file name appears in
the top bar and so does an icon. Right, just like always.
Yeah, but THAT icon IS your file! Whoa, say that again!
Yeah, but THAT icon IS your file! What if I drag the icon
from the title bar down to Mail? Whoa again! Cool! Mail
starts up and you're ready to send the attached file. This
icon trick works with so many apps, not just TextEdit. Try
it and see!

Here's a spelling tip for us: let's say you spell a word
wrong. Hmmm, well, we know from an previous tip that
Command-Control-D brings up the dictionary, BUT!! No
entries are found on a mis-spelled word. Is all hope lost
for our power tip? No, because there's a Did You Mean...
link that will suggest other possibilities. Go ahead and
try it and see. Cool.

How about an iPhoto 06 tip?
You probably already know double-click a photo while in
Organize mod will bring up that one photo in Edit mode, but
if you select multiple photos you can compare multiple pics
kinda up close and personal like. I bet the judges will
like that this summer during our Summer Photo Contest!
Did you know iPhoto has an advanced editing mode? You enter
it through the Retouch or Red Eye modes. CONTORTIONIST
ALERT! CONTORTIONIST ALERT! Tim is about to show us ANOTHER
one of his finger-numbing shortcut sequences!
Control-Caps Lock -9 (He did not just say the words "Caps
Lock"! No, wait. He really did.) Control-Caps Lock -9
enters the advanced mode where my cursor can operate in 3
different modes. You can explore and change modes with the
tab key.
Hey, you know that title bar icon thing up in Power Tip #1?
Works here, too.
