Tim's Power Tips

Power Tip #1
We've talked in the past about emailing and attaching things, but there's another way we haven't talked about. It's hidng right in front of us all the time, get a load of this. Let's say you're in TextEdit working on your masterpiece. Now, you want to send attached to an email. Of course, you have to save it before you send it so it isn't "untitled". Let's call it A Name. The file name appears in the top bar and so does an icon. Right, just like always. Yeah, but THAT icon IS your file! Whoa, say that again! Yeah, but THAT icon IS your file! What if I drag the icon from the title bar down to Mail? Whoa again! Cool! Mail starts up and you're ready to send the attached file. This icon trick works with so many apps, not just TextEdit. Try it and see!

Power Tip #2
iTunes, which continues to be one of our groups favorite programs, has a little feature that perhaps you've never noticed. That's the word Podcasts. Podcasts are up there with sliced bread. Podcasts are audio "broadcast" for your iPod. If we were online we'd go to the podcast section of the iTunes store - there's a lot of them! And they're free, too! David Pogue's comrade has a good one.
Russell Brown has a tips pod cast for photo/ video.
Check it out.
