Three months in a row now, iTunes remains our groups number one interest area based on our survey cards. So here's another tip for iTunes:
Power Tip #1
Most of us are familiar with the search box in upper right hand corner of the iTunes window. And it will let you search for a lot! But did you know that there's an easy way to refine your searches even more? Turn on the optional search bar by choosing Show Search Bar under the Edit menu. Now you can refine your searches to just audio books or podcasts for example. THAT was easy!

But wait, there's more. In Safari Bookmarks, the search box is available there, too!
Let's say you're like Tim, and you've got THOUSANDS of bookmarks! Hiding at the bottom of the bookmarks screen is a search bar that works just like you'd expect. Not to be confused with the Google search bar in the upper right corner of the Safari window.

The Search is on! It's in the upper right hand corner of your Finder window, too.

Power Tip #2
Let's say your typing along and you come to a word you want to use like edifice. Only you want to use its plural or possessive form. Did you know that the tenses of words are hiding in the various Apple apps like Mail and TextEdit? Neither did we! But they are, just press Escape while you are typing, and Poof! there they are in a drop-down window.

And it's not just tenses and plurals, it's like a word completer/suggester thing, too! Try the word "home" in TextEdit. Hit the escape key right after you type home and a drop-down box gives you many "home" words to choose from. Double-click on one to choose it, or cursor down to the one you want and hit the tab key.

This is not supported by all applications, but a lot of your Apple apps have it built into them. For example, this trick doesn't work with OmniOutliner, or Microsoft Word.
Extra By-The-Way Tip
By the way, the music from our audio speakers tonight is traveling wirelessly from the laptop using an Airport Express AirTunes. It provides a wireless connection to our speakers - only $129.
