Tim's Power Tips
Power Tip
#1
Here's one that Tim discovered almost by accident.
Most everyone at some point or another is typing stuff and
when we make a mistake we all choose different ways to
correct our mistake. Tim showed some of the less efficient
ways we are all probably familiar with. But here's a neat
way: Instead of just backspacing with the delete key, try
Shift-Option-Delete. It will DELETE word by word by word.
What a power time saver! Tip within a tip:
Shift-Option-Arrow key highlights word-by-word-by-word.
Power Tip
#2
Safari
Often when browsing we want to navigate to different
internet addresses. Often we click in the address bar and
start typing. But did you know if have a url out on your
desktop, or a link in an email, you don't have to click on
it and get stuck with a new window. If you want, you can
drag the url to the address bar and Safari goes there
without opening a new window (or tab)!
Also, if you have a lot of tabbed windows open in Safari
Shift-Command-Arrow key navigates from tabbed window to
tabbed window.
