A Note From Our President, Matt Chandler ( From our previous GreerMUG meeting November 15, 2011 )
First off I want to thank all of you who were able to join us this month for this very important meeting.
Second I would like to apologize for having to miss the last month or two.
With that said let me get to the point of tonight’s meeting.
It is with a heavy heart that I and the board have decided that the Greer MUG will no longer be able to conduct our monthly meetings. There are many reasons that this has been decided but the main one is that the board is no longer able to deliver a quality and consistent presentation. It was not an easy decision – it took us months – but it is the right decision. Probably the most helpful fact, and indeed the thing that has changed most in the past five years, is the existence of two very qualified Apple retail businesses in Greenville. We have extreme confidence in the ability of iStore Greenville and Apple Haywood Mall to more than fill our shoes.
I want to take a few minutes to thank everyone who has been a part of the group. First I want to thank Mike, Bill, Alex, Tim, Matt Nadeja and Charles Richardson for starting and leading this user group over the years. I also want to thank the church for giving us a home when there was no where else to turn.
Most importantly I want to thank you for your time and your talents and to say I want to apologize to you that we will no longer be able to conduct our meeting.
